2026 Spring: Galiot/Eastwind Publishing Prep Workshop in Wellfleet, MA

Join Anjali, Henriette, and two literary agents—Amaryah Orenstein and Lori Galvin— for a five-day workshop focused on preparing your manuscript for querying or submission.

Set in a beautiful home in the seaside town of Wellfleet, MA, this workshop will help you get your novel, memoir, or creative nonfiction ready to send out to agents and editors.

Over the first two days, you’ll receive constructive critique on your sample pages, query letter, synopsis, and log line in small-group sessions led by the instructors. During the last two days, two agents will be onsite to review these materials and provide personal feedback and advice.

Afternoons will include classes on topics such elevator pitches, reading your work aloud, publishing industry information, and more. Agents will also hold a fireside Ask Me Anything session by an actual fireplace, over drinks.

There will also be time to revise, and guided walks to explore the beaches, forests, and marshes. The workshop takes place in a large, modern home with numerous indoor and outdoor spaces for workshop gatherings, as well as spots to sit quietly and work during free time.

Sample Schedule:

  • 10:00-1:00: Small-group workshops to discuss student manuscript pages, query letters, and synopses.

2026 Summer: Galiot/Krouna Writing Workshop in Greece

Join Henriette and Anjali for a six-day workshop focused on honing a large excerpt from your novel or memoir.

Located in the beautiful mountain village of Papingo in northern Greece, this workshop will give you insights on a 50-page chunk of your manuscript, along with feedback on overall structure, narrative arc, and points of craft.

Each day will feature group workshops concentrating on one participant’s work, plus free time to write and relax, plus craft discussions and even time to share new pages aloud for those who like. Henriette and Anjali will be available during office hours during afternoon free time, for further consultation about specific pages, or larger narrative questions, or even advice on the publishing process.

Papingo is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is, itself, one of the most famous villages in Greece. Henriette’s great-great-grandfather built the family home, which she maintains and continues to restore. It’s a beautiful stone courtyard house with a gracious garden where workshops attendees can relax and admire the view of Astraka’s 3,000-foot-high cliffs. All workshop sessions take place in the garden or inside the historical home. Accommodations are in historical inns in the village, mere steps from the Lazaridis courtyard door.

Each afternoon, there will be opportunities for guided walks around the village, swimming holes, and river.
