2026 Summer: Galiot/Krouna Writing Workshop in Greece

Join Henriette and Anjali for a six-day workshop focused on honing a large excerpt from your novel or memoir.

Located in the beautiful mountain village of Papingo in northern Greece, this workshop will give you insights on a 50-page chunk of your manuscript, along with feedback on overall structure, narrative arc, and points of craft.

Each day will feature group workshops concentrating on one participant’s work, plus free time to write and relax, plus craft discussions and even time to share new pages aloud for those who like. Henriette and Anjali will be available during office hours during afternoon free time, for further consultation about specific pages, or larger narrative questions, or even advice on the publishing process.

Papingo is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is, itself, one of the most famous villages in Greece. Henriette’s great-great-grandfather built the family home, which she maintains and continues to restore. It’s a beautiful stone courtyard house with a gracious garden where workshops attendees can relax and admire the view of Astraka’s 3,000-foot-high cliffs. All workshop sessions take place in the garden or inside the historical home. Accommodations are in historical inns in the village, mere steps from the Lazaridis courtyard door.

Each afternoon, there will be opportunities for guided walks around the village, swimming holes, and river.
